Generation YES is a nonprofit 501(c) (3) organization that works with schools and companies to prepare groups of students in schools to support technology integration and maintenance. Generation YES has provided customized solutions to schools for 19 years and has spent more than $30 million in research to develop the online tools, network and curriculum required to ensure quality onsite support in elementary, middle and high schools. For the 2015-2016 school year, Albuquerque Public Schools (APS) CTO, Mr. Paul Romero, adopted the Gen YES program. Beginning with a nine-school pilot, Gen YES APS is now active in selected district elementary, middle, and high schools. Gen YES APS will help the district offer a proven technology education curriculum to students, support the effective integration of technology in classrooms, increase the level of tech support at participating sites, and help build the next generation of IT professionals in New Mexico.
